Co-Founder & Attorney
She is a results-driven attorney committed to clear strategy, strong advocacy, and practical solutions for clients facing complex legal challenges. Prior to co-founding her firm, Javonna gained extensive courtroom and litigation experience with respected Georgia-based practices, where she represented clients in a wide range of matters including contested divorces, equitable division of assets, felony defense in the Superior Court of Fulton County, and enforcement-related proceedings. She also previously worked as a collections attorney, handling high-volume litigation matters and negotiating resolutions on behalf of clients. In addition, she served as an Assistant Public Defender, where she developed significant trial experience and a strong commitment to advocating for underserved and indigent populations. She earned her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, where she represented low-wage workers in employment disputes through the Women's Employment Rights Clinic. She received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas Southern University. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Shaugnassy built her legal career on a strong foundation of academic excellence, leadership, and advocacy. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Criminology from Florida State University and later received her Juris Doctor from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School, where she graduated in the top 10 of her class and founded the Charlotte E. Ray Legal Society. Prior to co-founding the firm, Shaugnassy gained extensive litigation and courtroom experience representing clients in family law matters, enforcement actions, and complex civil disputes. She also interned with the Georgia Public Defender Council, where she advocated on behalf of indigent individuals and developed a strong foundation in criminal defense and client-centered representation. Her practice is grounded in strategic advocacy, practical problem-solving, and clear communication tailored to each client's unique needs.
